I think Phil McColeman's first endeavour as our MP should be to explain to the people of the Six Nations why this needless, senseless, expensive election took priority over their land claims.

I didn't go too far in school, but when I went to school the word Conservative had a whole different meaning.

I think today it must mean inconsiderate, totalitarian or obstinate.

As a teenager, my dad and his buddies, all from Brantford, and teenage boys from the Six Nations helped to liberate Europe. When they went into Holland, people there were eating tulip bulbs to stay alive.

I hope in the future, Canada does not need to be liberated.

A mature, sensible, gentleman named Brian Van Tilborg decided to run for the NDP in the election.

Thanks, Brian. I believe you are next at bat. Stick with it.
