The Premier of Ontario owes an apology to the people of KI and Ardoch, especially to those of us who were jailed for opposing an outdated and immoral law." I agree. It is absolutely unconscionable that Ontario sends innocent Elder people to jail as scapegoats for its own unlawful behaviour. Ontario gleefully evades its responsibility to the law and to the public to consult with ALL Indigenous Peoples about ALL developments on ALL of their traditional land. It is shameful. And then somehow the politicians will always come up with some sleazy way to pat themselves on the back about it when they finally do deign to obey our own supreme law of the land in some partial and entirely unsatisfactory way that they will later quietly reneg on anyway. The way our politicians at all levels behave these days is absolutely disgusting. Corruption and greed and 'image', oh my! Is that all there is? (Get the hook!) Tell me ... if Canadians can't even expect a government to obey the law, what are they doing for us anyway? Robbing us blind, robbing the land of resources, slashing and clearcutting and poisoning and disemboweling the earth as fast as they each can in their term of office, filling someone else's pockets and thus their campaign coffers, without a thought to the future beyond the next election. Our system is entirely bereft of any real democratic checks and balances. There is very little left of democracy in Canada at all. We are cows. We chew and chew, and regularly line up to get milked dry by our governments. And they do as little as possible, so they don't mess their hair. The image consultants get upset with them, ya know ... and it's all about fake images! We are all so sick of this arrogance, ignorance and superficiality. For God's sake, this time have the decency to apologize and then do the right thing without crowing about how friggen wonderful you are! YOU AREN'T!!

All you Canadian politicians of all kinds ... You are all just an embarrassment! And 'sharp dealing' is JUST BAD FAITH

Decent Canadians are absolutely humiliated on a world-wide stage by the lack of intelligence (Like how stupid do you think we are, eh?), lack of humanity and complete lack of truth of our governments, and the way they treat us with such patronizing contempt. Do NOT (groan) try to paint yourself the whitehats on this one. People think we are all like our governments! How's that for a friggen insult! I am sick to death of having to explain over and over and over again that ... NOT ALL CANADIANS ACT LIKE OUR SLIMY CONTEMPTUOUS GOVERNMENTS DO! We can't even safely send Canadian school kids to the Commons anymore, because the kids are rightly disturbed and ashamed of the bully behaviour they see there. And I repeat, politicians, do NOT try to pat yourselves on the back about this. I will NOT let that go. I will nail you in public and tell the truth about how ashamed Canadians, Ontarians are of ALL of our governments, but particularly Ontario for continually and knowingly violating the Constitution, sending decent people to jail and putting people at risk in Brantford. Ignorance doesn't even come into it. It is just petty political slime, and we thought we were supposed to be electing 'governance'? "Say anything - do nothing" ... just doesn't cut it anymore. Some real leadership is needed, the kind that doesn't make your image consultants happy because it involves actually making decisions. If they are unhappy, you are probably doing what we elected you for. Do more of that. Apologize ... then consult. For real. "A say in development and a share in revenues" How friggen difficult is that? It isn't a problem for Canadians, and the private sector now just wants to get on with business - Let them do business! - and the Supreme Court says it's the right (i.e., LEGAL) thing to do. People will thank you for doing the right thing ... IF you don't blow your own horn FIRST! (That's just so tacky. Please spare us the embarrassment. Just do the legal thing and maybe no one will notice that you didn't before now.) A little respect please. You are working for us.
